SUMMARY OF POSITION
Responsible for preparing and serving food to customers, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas, and providing excellent customer service.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

Reports to:
County Judge

This is a non-supervisory position.

Has daily contact with other county employees and the general public.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve food and beverages in a timely manner
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in kitchen and dining areas
Assist with inventory management and stocking supplies
Follow food safety guidelines and regulations
Provide friendly and efficient customer service

Performs such other duties as may be assigned
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of:
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Telephone techniques and etiquette
Mathematical principles and use of a cash register
Knowledge of planning and preparation of food

Experience in food service or hospitality preferred
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of sanitation and food storage
EQUIPMENT USED
All kitchen appliances including but not limited to stove, oven, microwave, deep fryer, etc.
Sharp knives and utensils
Dishwasher and other cleaning equipment and products Ability to: .
Maintain a high level of personal hygiene
Prepare nutritious and good tasting food
Maintain a meal log
Compile, maintain, and update files and records
Work independently in the absence of co-workers and/or supervisor
Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
Maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities that may include the following: standing or sitting for extended periods of time, lifting and carrying supplies up to 50 pounds, reaching, stooping, climbing to store and retrieve food.
ACCEPTABLE EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
High school diploma or its equivalent
Experience in cooking and cleaning of kitchen equipment
CERTIFICATE AND LICENSES REQUIRED
