The ideal candidate will have at least five years meat cutting experience, a passion for food production and a commitment to delivering high-quality meat products to our customers. As a Meat Cutter, you will be responsible for cutting, trimming, and preparing various types of meat while ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Duties Cut, trim, and package a variety of meats according to specifications and customer requests. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the meat preparation area to ensure food safety. Operate and maintain cutting tools and equipment, including knives and saws, with care. Assist customers by providing information about meat products and offering cooking tips. Monitor inventory levels of meat products and report any shortages or quality issues. Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and preparation. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations within the department. Qualifications Previous experience in food production or culinary settings is preferred. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Proficient in meat cutting techniques with a solid understanding of various cuts of meat. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Familiarity with food handling procedures and best practices in food preparation. Must be able to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) as required.
