Job Overview The New York Butcher Shoppe is a premier, full-service butcher shop offering the finest meats and a wide array of high-quality prepared meals and sides, along with specialty groceries. We pride ourselves on delivering superior customer service and providing our guests with a welcoming, upscale shopping experience. We are seeking friendly, hardworking, customer service-oriented team members to fill our Full and Part-Time Butcher position(s). Our shop will feature premium meats, specialty cuts, house-prepared products, smoked meats, and select fresh seafood. We want butchers who know their craft, enjoy interacting with customers, and take pride in putting a great product in the case. Responsibilities Cut, trim, and prepare various meats and seafood using appropriate butchery techniques and slicing methods Grind, package, weigh, label, and merchandise meats/seafoods Assist with house-made products and smoked meats Help customers with product selection, cooking suggestions, and special orders Maintain attractive, well-stocked meat and seafood displays Follow food-safety, sanitation, and proper handling standards Maintain a clean, organized work area Qualifications 2+ years of butchery or meat-cutting experience preferred Strong knife skills and knowledge of meat-cutting techniques Passion for quality food and exceptional customer service Ability to work effectively as part of a team Ability to stand for 8-10 hour shifts and safely lift up to 50 lbs. ServSafe certification is a plus

Pay:

$15.00 - $25.00 per hour
