Overview On the Vine Marketplace in Exeter adding to our team. Our Meat Department is now hiring a full-time meat cutter. The day will fly in this fast-paced environment where you will be working with a team of awesome individuals who enjoy what they do along with friendly customers that are glad to see a smiling face. Applicants need to have retail meat department experience. We will train individuals with opening and closing, scale use, receiving and inventory procedures. Applicants must know the bone saw, grinder, and have the ability to multitask, and work as a team player. Come work in a friendly, family-oriented environment. We are a very busy holiday driven retail marketplace, so count on weekend and holiday scheduling. Store hours are 10 to 7, 9 to 7 Saturday, 10 to 6 Sunday Compensation is determined by experience and work history. Duties Provide outstanding customer service to enhance their shopping experience Process, cut, marinate and cryo-vac meats Help receive incoming deliveries to ensure pricing, dates, quality and inventory accuracy Happily assist customers with product inquiries Prepare meat loaf, kabobs, stuffed chickens, burgers and replenished regularly Help maintain cleanliness and organization of the department, floors, back stock area, and coolers Engage in proper food handling and sanitation practices. Help with inventory levels by monitoring stock levels and assisting with rotation Handle customer questions professionally and courteously Support the team in performing retail math calculations for production and recipe scaling Required Experience Proven experience in retail meat or similar meat department environments Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers Excellent customer service with a friendly, approachable demeanor Ability to perform basic math for transactions and inventory procedures Familiarity with meat department operations including machine breakdown and cleaning Demonstrated phone etiquette when interacting with customers over the phone This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to grow their meat cutting expertise while making a positive impact on our community. Pay:

$19.00 - $21.00 per hour
