Job Summary This energetic position involves supporting the butchery team in animal slaughtering, meat cutting, and ensuring food safety standards are met. You'll be a key player in maintaining a clean, organized workspace. Duties Slaughtering animals (skinning, gutting, and preparing to hang in cooler). Support meat cutting, trimming, and portioning using proper knife skills and techniques Ensure all food handling procedures adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards Maintain cleanliness of work areas, tools, and equipment to ensure a safe working environment Requirements Strong knife skills and experience with meat cutting are highly desirable Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork Willingness to learn our techniques and develop expertise in meat processing
