The successful candidate will possess a minimum of Five plus years of progressive culinary experience, with demonstrated expertise in Indian and Continental cuisine, including the preparation of traditional Indian desserts. This individual will be responsible for the strategic planning, execution, and oversight of all culinary operations in support of large-scale banquet events. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Develop, plan, and execute menus for weddings, quinceañeras, corporate functions, and cultural celebrations Direct the preparation of authentic Indian cuisine, encompassing regional North and South Indian specialties, alongside Continental dishes Oversee the preparation and presentation of traditional Indian desserts and confections Provide leadership to kitchen personnel, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation Ensure consistency in food quality, presentation standards, and portion control for events of significant scale, up to and including seven hundred guests Uphold all applicable health, safety, and sanitation regulations in accordance with Serv-Safe or equivalent certification standards Administer food cost controls, inventory management, and procurement in coordination with approved vendors Liaise with event coordination staff and catering partners to ensure menu alignment with client specifications and cultural requirements Develop seasonal and client-customized menus reflective of evolving culinary trends and specific event needs Maintain kitchen facilities and equipment in accordance with established operational and safety standards Minimum Qualifications A minimum of five plus years of professional culinary experience, with substantial specialization in Indian and Continental cuisine Demonstrate prior experience serving in an Executive Chef or Head Chef capacity within a high-volume banquet, restaurant, hotel, or event venue setting Comprehensive knowledge of Indian regional cooking methods, spice profiles, and traditional dessert preparation Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal communication competencies Demonstrate capacity to manage culinary operations under high-volume, time-sensitive conditions for events ranging from one hundred to over seven hundred guests Current food safety certification (Serv-Safe or equivalent) required Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in accordance with the venue's event calendar Compensation and Benefits Compensation is commensurate with experience.
