CHEFSiren Sisters Kitchen | Fairfax, CA | Full-Time | $65,000- $75,000 DOESiren Sisters Kitchen is a women-owned catering company and neighborhood food shop in downtown Fairfax. Catering is the heart of our business, and presentation, styling and the overall guest experience are central to our work.
THE ROLEA
hands-on culinary leadership role with two core responsibilities: owning the kitchen s weekly production plan and leading onsite catering execution.

Own the kitchen s week: review events, carry-out orders and storefront needs; order product; create the weekly prep schedule; assign work; and track progress.

Direct and work alongside the production team, maintaining recipe, portion, quality and presentation standards.

Manage ordering, inventory, pars, receiving, yields, waste, food cost and labor efficiency.

Oversee catering pack-outs and final culinary quality control.

Lead onsite catered events, directing culinary staff, setup, timing, service and breakdown.

Execute and style grazing tables, buffets, platters and food displays with a strong visual eye.

Maintain a clean, organized, food-safe kitchen and continually improve prep flow and systems.
WHO WE RE LOOKING
FORYou re equally comfortable planning the work and doing the work: turning a busy catering week into an organized production plan, leading the team through it, and confidently executing events onsite.

Professional catering and event experience is required.

Strong culinary, production-planning and organizational skills, including staff leadership, ordering, inventory and food-cost management.

A strong sense of food presentation and aesthetics. Spanish is a plus.
SCHEDULE, CULTURE
+ COMPENSATIONThis full-time salaried position combines weekday kitchen planning and production with onsite catering. Regular weekend work is required, and the schedule shifts with our event calendar.

We re a fun, flexible and collaborative small team that values humor, creativity, autonomy and people who pitch in. We offer flexibility where the catering schedule allows.
Salary:
65,000-75,000, depending on experience. For the right person, there is meaningful opportunity to grow into expanded leadership and potentially partnership.

Vacation planning: Because spring and fall are our busiest event seasons, vacation should be avoided during March-May and September-October.
