$100,000/year Immediate Start We are seeking an exceptional, highly organized Full-Time Private Chef to prepare meals for a family between Laguna Beach and Newport Coast . The ideal candidate is a versatile, experienced chef who is equally comfortable preparing an elevated, restaurant-quality dinner as they are making a perfectly executed simple pasta, steak, salad, or healthy family meal. This position will involve real-time cooking primarily in Laguna Beach , along with meal preparation for the family's Newport Coast residence . What We're Looking For The right chef should have a broad culinary skill set and be confident preparing a wide variety of cuisines and cooking styles, including: Mediterranean and California cuisine Italian dishes, from simple pastas to more complex preparations Steaks, seafood, chicken, and other proteins Healthy, high-protein and wellness-focused meals Salads, vegetables, soups, and side dishes Breakfast and lunch Family-style meals Elevated dinner preparations Simple comfort foods Meal prep and ready-to-eat/reheat meals A wide variety of international cuisines We are not looking for someone who only specializes in fine dining or one particular cuisine . Versatility is extremely important. Some meals may be sophisticated and elaborate, while others may be incredibly simple—the expectation is that both are executed exceptionally well. Responsibilities Prepare fresh meals based on the family's preferences and schedule Handle meal prep for the Newport Coast residence Cook meals in real time at the Laguna Beach residence Develop menus and provide variety throughout the week Accommodate dietary, nutritional, and fitness-oriented requests Grocery shop and source high-quality ingredients Maintain an organized, clean, and exceptionally well-run kitchen Monitor pantry and refrigerator inventory Ensure ingredients are fresh and expired items are removed Properly label, date, store, and organize prepared foods Communicate clearly regarding menus, groceries, meal timing, and household needs Maintain discretion and professionalism in a private-home environment Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is: Extremely organized and detail-oriented Versatile and confident across multiple cuisines Consistent and dependable Clean and meticulous in the kitchen Flexible and comfortable working in a private household Able to take direction while also being proactive Professional, discreet, and trustworthy Comfortable preparing both sophisticated and extremely simple meals Previous experience as a private chef, family chef, estate chef, or high-level restaurant chef is strongly preferred. Compensation & Start Date Starting salary: $100,000 per year This is a full-time position based between Laguna Beach and Newport Coast, California .
