Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Sushi Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts and expertise in Japanese cuisine, particularly sushi preparation.

MUST BE EXPERIENCED SUSHI CHEF. WAGE IS NEGOTIABLE BASED ON ABILITY.

This is a tipped wage position, which means your wage can increase significantly based on your customer service.

Duties:

• Prepare a variety of sushi dishes following traditional and modern recipes
• Ensure freshness and quality of ingredients used in sushi preparation
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate orders
• Monitor inventory levels and place orders for sushi ingredients as needed
• Adhere to food safety standards and regulations

Experience:

• Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or Sushi Cook in a restaurant/sushi bar setting
• Proficiency in knife skills and food preparation techniques
• Knowledge of menu planning, dietary restrictions, and food presentation
• Familiarity with Japanese cuisine and sushi rolling techniques
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
