Day schedule only - no late evenings or weekends Supportive, team-driven work culture Opportunity to contribute in a licensed early childhood setting Ongoing training in food service standards and early education compliance Career development and growth opportunities Core Duties Prepare and distribute meals/snacks that meet USDA and CACFP nutrition requirements Manage kitchen operations including menu planning, sanitation, and food safety practices Monitor inventory, order food/supplies, and maintain cost efficiency Provide direction to kitchen assistants to keep operations running smoothly Partner with teachers to confirm daily meal counts and address allergies or dietary needs Assist with simple administrative or classroom support tasks when meals are not being served Ensure the kitchen meets Georgia DECAL health and licensing standards for safety and cleanliness Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED At least 1 year of food service or cooking experience in childcare, school, or healthcare setting Familiarity with CACFP standards and safe food handling procedures ServSafe Certification (preferred, or willingness to obtain after hire) CPR/First Aid Certification (preferred, or willingness to obtain after hire) Preferred Qualities Enthusiastic about child development and supportive learning environments Dependable, adaptable, and team-oriented Strong organizational skills with a focus on safety and detail Open to assisting with classroom or administrative support when needed Positive and professional attitude
