Responsibilities:
Assist the Head Chef in food preparation and cooking
Oversee and manage the kitchen team, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality food production
Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and implement menu plans
Maintain inventory control and ensure proper stock levels of ingredients and supplies
Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
Train and mentor kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and best practices
Assist with menu planning, recipe development, and cost control
Collaborate with the front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction
Skills:
Strong culinary skills with experience in food preparation and cooking
Proven ability to manage a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Knowledge of food service management principles, including portion control, cost control, and inventory management
Proficient in various cooking techniques and cuisines
Familiarity with bartending and beverage service is a plus
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong communication and leadership abilities
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Knowledge of kitchen management and restaurant operations This position requires a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Sous Chef or similar role.
A culinary degree or certification is preferred but not required. The successful candidate must have a passion for food, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
