Resort Lifestyle Communities is seeking a Sous Chef to support our resident-first dining experience in an upscale, independent senior living community. Reporting to the Executive Chef, you'll help lead daily kitchen operations, from prepping and cooking high-quality, nutritious meals to supervising line staff and ensuring consistent presentation and portion control. You'll maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards, support menu execution, and assist with inventory and ordering. This role thrives in a team-oriented, hospitality-driven environment, delivering warm, resort-style service to seniors. Responsibilities Support the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations for an independent senior living community Prepare and present high-quality, nutritious meals that meet resident preferences and dietary needs Lead line operations during service, ensuring consistent quality, portion control, and timely meal delivery Train, schedule, and support kitchen team members in a resident-first, hospitality-focused environment Maintain strict food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards in all prep, storage, and service areas Assist with menu execution, inventory management, ordering, and cost control Communicate closely with dining and resident services teams to support a warm, resort-style experience Required Skills Hot and cold food preparation Menu execution and plating Large-batch cooking for seniors Food safety and sanitation (Serv Safe) Allergen and special-diet meal preparation Kitchen staff supervision and training Inventory and ordering Station and line management Time and volume management Basic computer and POS use
