Job Description

Position Overview Are you a culinary pro who can whip up crowd-pleasing, hearty meals while keeping a cool head in a bustling environment? Our fraternity is looking for a reliable, organized, and energetic House Chef/Cook to feed our members. In this role, you will be the heart of our kitchen—responsible for planning, shopping for, and preparing 10 meals a week (Lunch and Dinner, Monday through Friday). You'll also keep our kitchen up to health standards and occasionally help us show off our hospitality during special chapter events. If you love cooking great food, managing your own kitchen space, and working in a lively, social atmosphere, we want to hear from you! Key Responsibilities Meal Prep & Cooking (10 Meals/Week): Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious, filling, and high-quality lunches and dinners, Monday through Friday.
Budgeting & Grocery Shopping:
Manage the weekly food budget, track inventory, and handle all grocery shopping and ingredient sourcing.
Kitchen Cleanliness & Sanitation:
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen. This includes washing prep dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and ensuring food is stored safely according to local health codes.
Dietary Accommodations:
Work with the House Manager to accommodate member allergies or dietary restrictions (e.g., vegetarian, gluten-free) as needed.
Special Events:
Occasionally prepare food for special house events (e.g., alumni weekends, parent dinners, or game-day tailgates). Advance notice and additional hours will be provided for these events.

Monday through Friday.

Flexible daily hours.
Qualifications & Skills Experience:
1-2+ years of experience in professional cooking, catering, or commercial food service. Experience cooking for large groups (20-50+ people) is highly preferred.
Skills:
Strong time-management and organizational skills. You must be able to plan menus, budget effectively, and prep efficiently.
Personality:
Friendly, patient, and professional. You should be comfortable working around college students
Requirements:
Must have reliable transportation for grocery shopping and a clean background check.
