Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Sous Chef / Lead Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily kitchen operations, lead food preparation efforts, and ensure the highest standards of quality, safety, and presentation. Your leadership will inspire the team to deliver exceptional dining experiences in a fast-paced, fine dining environment. Responsibilities Lead and supervise kitchen staff during service shifts, ensuring efficient food production and timely delivery of dishes. Oversee food preparation processes, maintaining consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control across all menu items. Implement and uphold food safety sanitizing procedures and sanitation standards to ensure compliance with health regulations. Manage inventory control and food management systems to minimize waste, monitor stock levels, and optimize ingredient usage. Assist with menu planning, recipe development, and culinary innovation to enhance guest satisfaction. Coordinate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and allergy considerations. Supervise catering events and banquet functions, ensuring seamless execution from setup to service. Support kitchen management by overseeing shift schedules, training new team members, and fostering a positive team environment. Enforce cost control measures while maintaining high-quality food standards and operational efficiency. Maintain open communication with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service flow and guest satisfaction. Requirements Proven experience in fine dining kitchens with a strong background in food production and culinary techniques. Supervising experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting, with demonstrated leadership skills in managing teams as a chef or lead cook. Extensive knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitizing procedures, and safe food handling practices. Experience with inventory management, cost control, and food service management systems. Familiarity with catering operations, banquet services, and large-scale event coordination (banquet experience preferred). Strong understanding of menu planning, shift management, and kitchen operations within the food industry. Excellent communication skills coupled with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team effectively. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and high standards of quality. Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 - 45.0 per week
