Powerhouse on BroadwayPowerhouse on Broadway is a distinctive hospitality venue located in the heart of historic downtown Scottsbluff. The property is a multi-use destination featuring a six-room boutique hotel on the third floor and an upscale commercial restaurant and cocktail bar on the main floor.

As part of our continued development, ownership is exploring the opportunity to offer hotel guests an exclusive culinary experience on select evenings, Monday through Wednesday. This initiative would provide an elevated, intimate dining option designed to complement the boutique hotel experience while showcasing exceptional cuisine and personalized hospitality.

Job SummaryPowerhouse is seeking a skilled and hospitality-driven Personal Chef to lead our exclusive Chef s Table program. You will design, prepare, and serve curated three-course dinners for up to 16 guests staying in our luxury suites. This role is ideal for a creative culinary professional who thrives in an intimate, high-end guest environment and enjoys showcasing local Nebraska ingredients. The ideal candidate combines strong culinary skills with creativity, organization, discretion, and a passion for personalized hospitality along with the ability to understand and accommodate clients preferences, dietary needs, and expectations while consistently delivering high-quality meals and outstanding service. Core ResponsibilitiesMenu Development:
Design a custom, rotating weekly three-course menu (e.g., Steakhouse, Italian Bistro, Farm-to-Table) and occasional premium event menus (Prime Rib, Surf & Turf, Seasonal Tastings) for up to 16 guests at Powerhouse on Broadway. Consult with clients for culinary preferences, dietary restrictions, and event requirements.
Ingredient Sourcing & Purchasing:
Order and procure fresh ingredients based on prepaid guest counts 24 hours in advance, incorporating Nebraska-sourced items whenever possible.
Food Preparation, Cooking & Cleanup:
Execute complete scratch prep and cook high-quality multi-course meals independently every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings while following all applicable food-safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations.
Interactive Service:
Provide a warm, communal dining experience for guests during dinner service. Represent Powerhouse on Broadway with professionalism, friendliness, and attention to detail. Coordinate with event staff, assistants, services, and management as needed.
Cost Control & Inventory:
Manage food waste rigorously to keep food costs below the 30% target.
Kitchen Operations:
Maintain strict food safety/sanitation standards and handle end-of-night kitchen cleanupQualificationsProven experience as a Chef, Sous Chef, or Private/Personal Chef in upscale dining or boutique hospitality settings.

Proven experience with preparing meals for small parties, VIP clients, and special events. Active ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification. Strong inventory control skills and experience managing food cost budgets.

Excellent communication and presentation skills for interactive guest service.

Professional references or a portfolio of menus and culinary work.

Compensation and BenefitsRange of $25-$35/hour (pay based on experience) with the opportunity for gratuities and special-event work.

Work in an intimate, boutique style environment while preparing meals in a full commercial kitchen.

Standard hours are Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings from 4pm to 9pm. Variable hours on weekends and holidays based on client needs.

Conditions of EmploymentCandidates must provide proof of U.S. Citizenship, permanent residence, or authorization to work. Willing to relocate to Scottsbluff, Nebraska if currently residing outside of the area. Background screen required - a criminal record is not an automatic disqualification for employment.
