We are looking for a skilled Food Production Chef to join our team and oversee the preparation and production of our prepared food items in our retail pasta shoppes. The ideal candidate will have a strong culinary background, a passion for pasta, and experience in food production. This role requires a blend of creativity, attention to detail, and an understanding of efficient production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Food Production:

Oversee the daily production of various types of prepared foods ranging from chicken parmesans to salads ensuring consistency, quality, and adherence to company recipes and standards.

Recipe Development:

Collaborate with the team to create new pasta varieties and seasonal offerings that align with our brand and customer preferences.

Quality Control:

Monitor the quality of all ingredients and finished products, conducting taste tests and visual inspections to ensure standards are met.

Inventory Management:

Manage inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed and ensuring proper storage and rotation of stock.

Equipment Maintenance:

Operate and maintain all kitchen equipment and pasta-making machines, ensuring they are clean, sanitized, and functioning properly.

Food Safety & Hygiene:

Enforce food safety regulations and sanitation standards throughout the production process, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a chef or in a similar role, preferably in a food production or high-volume kitchen environment. Strong knowledge of food production techniques. Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices. Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds).
