Compensation:

Join Our Dynamic Team! A behavioral health and addiction treatment facility is seeking a skilled, dependable, and compassionate Chef to lead our culinary services within our Inpatient Detox Program in Weatherford, TX. The Chef supports the Director of Operations in providing nutritious, well-balanced meals to residents in a substance abuse treatment and recovery setting. This role plays a vital part in supporting resident wellness and recovery by maintaining consistent meal service, ensuring food safety compliance, and assisting with kitchen supervision in a structured, therapeutic environment.
What You'll Do Major Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities:
  • Daily kitchen operations, meal preparation, and service.
  • Prepare nutritious meals that meet dietary guidelines and support physical and emotional wellness.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and, when applicable, residents participating in vocational or life-skills kitchen programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all health department, sanitation, and food safety regulations.
  • Maintain consistency in portion control, food quality, and presentation.
  • Assist with inventory control, ordering, and cost management.
  • Support menu planning with attention to special diets, allergies, and medical restrictions.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
  • Step in to oversee kitchen operations in the absence of the Executive Chef.
  • Model professionalism, accountability, and structure aligned with recovery-focused values. Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of nutrition, food safety, and sanitation standards (ServSafe certification preferred).
  • Experience working in healthcare, residential treatment, or institutional food service is a plus.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a structured, policy-driven environment.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
