Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef to join our team The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong background in food preparation and safety. As a chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious meals that meet our high standards of quality and presentation. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently while adhering to all health and safety regulations. Responsibilities Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety standards and regulations. Assist in menu planning, considering dietary restrictions and preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, ovens, grills, and other cooking tools. Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs for guests or residents. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist in ordering as needed. Participate in catering events as required, ensuring high-quality service and presentation. Requirements Proven experience as a Cook in a food service or restaurant setting is preferred. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential. Strong skills in food preparation techniques, including knife skills and cooking methods. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills to work effectively with kitchen staff and other departments. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. A passion for the culinary arts with a willingness to learn new techniques and recipes.
