This is a Part-Time/On-Call position. Shifts will be offered based on staffing and coverage needs and may include Swing and NOC shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Position Summary:
The Safety/Support Concierge provides a safe and secure environment for residents, staff, and visitors by monitoring the premises, patrolling grounds, and reporting incidents. This is an unarmed position licensed by the California BSIS ("Guard Card") and functions under an "observe and report" model. The Safety/Support Concierge does not physically intervene unless necessary for immediate safety. Law enforcement, fire, or emergency medical services will be contacted for incidents requiring enforcement or emergency response. Key Responsibilities Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to deter unauthorized access. Conduct regular patrols of buildings, parking areas, and grounds. Respond to calls for assistance from residents or staff; assess and report situations. Contact law enforcement, fire, or emergency medical services when needed. Write incident reports and maintain security logs. Assist in emergency procedures (fire alarms, evacuations, disaster response). Provide a reassuring presence for residents, ensuring they feel safe. Support staff in situations involving lost residents (wandering/elopement). Enforce facility safety policies (visitors, deliveries, contractor access). Drive a golf cart to pick up residents, potential residents, guests, and employees when needed. Qualifications CPR/First Aid/AED certification preferred. Prior security, public safety, or customer service experience; senior living experience is a plus. Must be able to speak and communicate effectively in English. Ability to read and write in English as needed to complete incident reports, security logs, and other required documentation. Strong interpersonal and de-escalation skills. Ability to walk and stand for extended periods and respond quickly to emergencies. Valid California Driver's License.
Pay:
$20.00 - $23.50 per hour
