You enjoy working with people, notice the little things, and are always willing to jump in and help. Shampooing is a large part of this role. You'll spend a significant portion of your time at the shampoo bowl, providing clients with thorough shampoos, conditioning, and treatments while also assisting stylists and helping keep the salon running smoothly. Responsibilities Shampooing & Treatments:
Shampoo, condition, and assist with treatments such as steam, hydration, protein treatments, and loc detoxes. Shampooing is a major part of this position.
Warm Client Interaction:
Greet clients warmly and professionally. Answer incoming calls and respond to client questions.

Client Support:
Assist clients throughout their visit and help create a positive salon experience.
Client Follow-Up:
Follow up with prospective and existing clients and assist with client communication.
Appointment Support:
Assist with scheduling, confirmations, and maintaining an organized salon calendar.
Salon Maintenance:
Keep the salon clean, organized, and welcoming throughout the day.
Laundry & Supplies:
Launder towels and maintain salon supplies.
Inventory:
Help monitor inventory and communicate when supplies need to be restocked.
Check-In & Check-Out:
Assist with client check-ins, payments, retail purchases, and check-outs.
Administrative Support:
Assist with filing, data entry, reports, and general front-office responsibilities.
Social Media Support:
Assist with recording, editing, and posting social media content when needed.
Retail Support:
Educate clients about products and recommend products based on their needs. Skills & Qualifications Comfortable and confident working at a shampoo bowl Willingness to make shampooing a significant part of your daily responsibilities Friendly, warm, and professional personality Strong customer service and communication skills Reliable and punctual Comfortable using computers and basic software Able to multitask and stay organized in a busy salon environment Resourceful and solutions-oriented Comfortable learning scheduling and POS systems Previous salon, administrative, sales, or customer service experience preferred Social media experience is a plus Ability to work well with different personalities and team members Additional Duties & Requirements Learn and follow The Loc Shop's employee handbook, mission, vision, and core values Participate in salon photoshoots and social media projects Assist with client before-and-after content Meet manager-established KPIs, including retail sales and Google reviews Maintain a professional and polished appearance Use salon software for check-ins, check-outs, payments, inventory, and reporting Respond to client messages through the booking system Assist with recommending treatments and retail products Participate in monthly team meetings and manager 1-on-1s Assist stylists with shampoos, conditioning, treatments, and check-out during downtime Help train teammates in areas where you have expertise Follow all salon safety, sanitation, and OSHA requirements Maintain dependable attendance and punctuality Be willing to work a predetermined schedule with some flexibility based on salon needs What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is: Reliable - you show up and can be counted on. Compensation Starting pay:
$17.00/hour Pay progression and additional opportunities may be discussed based on performance, experience, and responsibilities.
