The Overnight Security & Concierge team member is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff at our retirement community during overnight and early morning hours. Aspects of this position are security, including monitoring building access, conducting routine security rounds, observing and reporting unusual activity, and responding appropriately to emergencies and safety concerns. In addition, this position provides concierge services by assisting residents and visitors, answering telephone calls, responding to routine inquiries, and supporting the smooth operation of the community during quieter hours.

What we are looking for:

The ideal candidate is dependable, observant, professional, service-oriented, and able to remain calm and exercise good judgment when handling unexpected situations. This individual understands the importance of resident safety, privacy, dignity, and compassionate service. Specific experience in the senior housing industry is not as important as the ability to think quickly, have lots of energy, proven skills in MS Office, and the ability to generate fun.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide security for the building and residents during non-business hours, checking outside doors, responding to resident concerns and providing hourly security walks Provide front desk coverage throughout the shift to assist residents and visitors. Be able to respond to resident and building emergencies by assessing the situation and reacting accordingly. Prepare a self-serve coffee station for residents/staff, deliver newspapers each morning before 7:00 am, and manage the front desk until the front desk concierge gets in at 8:00 am on weekdays.

REQUIREMENTS

This is a non-smoking Campus and previous vaccination for COVID is required. You must be willing to agree to a background check.

Work schedule is either Sunday-Tuesday @ 30 hours /week, or Wednesday-Saturday @ 40 hours/week Shift is 8:00pm-6:00am Full-time and full benefits $24.00/hour
