Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Concierge specializing in Long-Term Care (LTC) and Skilled Nursing facilities. In this vital role, you will serve as the welcoming face and communication hub for residents, families, visitors, and staff. Your energetic and organized approach will ensure smooth operations at the front desk while providing exceptional customer service. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a compassionate healthcare environment, utilizing your office management skills and friendly demeanor to enhance the resident experience. Responsibilities Prior to expected Admission Concierge inspects room to make sure it's prepared for arrival. Upon Admission, Concierge welcomes resident facility, introduced himself and let resident get settled in. Goes over facility basic info on how to contact them. Helps keep track of residence items and inventory. Concierge calls family to let them know that the resident has safely arrived and settling in and introduce them and what they do and how they can be reached if needed. 2 to 5 days after admission, Concierge conducts 2 interviews and tries to proactively correct any issue the resident may be experiencing. Throughout the residents stay, Concierge checks in on resident to make sure they have everything they need. Monitor call-bell answering to make sure staff are answering in a timely manner. Concierge have cell phone with "Hot Line Number" that families can call if they need assistance or having trouble getting through to the resident via the main facility number. Any issues that are brought up through interviews or calls can be posted on the Concierge WhatsApp chat and seen by other members of the team (possibly administrator, DON, Social Worker, or others that have been designated to resolve issues) and address them in real time. Small issues like broken TV remote can immediately be addressed by the Concierge themselves while larger issues may need assistance. Food services changes should always be discussed with the dietitian and nursing prior to implementing. A few days BEFORE discharge, the Concierge conducts pre-Discharge interview to ascertain how the stay was and that they'd be following up the discharge. A few days AFTER discharge, the Concierge calls resident to inquire how the discharge went and any other recommendations the resident may have. Weekly meetings will be held with the Concierge and the Team to go over any issues identify in interviews and calls, that may be systematic in nature and the team discusses if any changes should be implemented to address any such issue. The interviews are also used to identify potential candidates for a Google five star review program. Proven office management or administrative experience in a healthcare or customer service setting Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and general computer skills Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail for proofreading and data entry tasks Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and supportively with clients and team members Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while managing multiple priorities efficiently This role is perfect for motivated individuals who thrive in dynamic environments, enjoy helping others, and possess strong organizational talents.
