The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong background in food preparation and cooking, particularly in the art of pizza making. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The Pizza Cook will be responsible for preparing high-quality pizzas and ensuring that all food safety standards are met. Responsibilities Prepare and cook pizzas according to established recipes and customer preferences. Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and prepared for use. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety standards. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Assist in menu planning and development of new pizza offerings. Handle food items safely and efficiently, following proper food handling procedures. Participate in catering events as needed, providing exceptional service to guests. Maintain inventory of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management. Skills Dietary department experience is a plus, with knowledge of dietary aide responsibilities. Strong menu planning skills with an emphasis on fine dining experience. Proficient in food preparation techniques including cooking and meal preparation. Experience in food service and handling within a restaurant or kitchen environment. Culinary experience with demonstrated knife skills and knowledge of food safety practices. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality. Previous catering experience is advantageous, along with a passion for serving others.
