Job Description

Davis Place, a nursing home in Danielson CT, is looking for a part time cook to join their team . The cook prepares palatable, nourishing, well-balanced meals to meet the daily nutritional and special dietary needs for each resident.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizational policies and applicable laws.

Supervisory responsibilities include:

Plans, assigns and directs work. Prepares work assignment sheets. Receives calls and finds replacement for absent staff. Transferring employees among kitchens/dining areas as needed. Schedules and adjusts lunch and rest breaks. Receives and resolves employee complaints. Monitors and corrects job performance. Determines rotation of employees in the kitchen/dining areas of facility.

Schedule:

5:30a-1:30p 16 hours every other weekend

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or experience: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. One-year experience as a cook in an institutional food service setting preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:

Freedom from use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace. Meets state and federal criminal background check requirements.
