SUMMARY OF POSITION

Accurately and efficiently cook food products, as well as prepare and portion food products prior to cooking. Also perform other duties in the areas of food and final plate preparation.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare a variety of food items using flat top grills, stove top, waffle baker, panini press, and fryer. Assume responsibility for the quality of products prepared and served. Know and consistently comply with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen policies and procedures. Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to ensure a smooth service period. Maintain a clean and sanitary work station, including all cooking and refrigeration equipment. Follow proper plate presentation and garnish setup for all dishes. Handle, store, and rotate all products properly. Assist with food prep assignments during offpeak periods as needed. Open and close the kitchen properly and follow the closing checklist for kitchen stations. Assist others in closing the kitchen. Assist with routine kitchen cleaning and maintenance. Uphold and maintain Health Department standards at all times. Perform other duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or manager on duty.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours). Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in the predominant language(s) of our guests. Exceptional grooming habits. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.

REQUIREMENTS

Must be available 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM every day, including weekends and holidays. We are closed Thanksgiving and Christmas. Fulltime applicants must consider Keke's their primary place of employment. All employees must wear black chef pants or dark blue or black jeans, a black belt, black nonslip shoes, and a Keke's hat on the first day of work. Must be in the approved Keke's uniform at all times when entering the café for work. Must pass a test before advancing to the next training position. Each location is independently owned and operated by a franchisee.
