The ideal candidate will ensure food safety, follow approved recipes, and operate kitchen equipment efficiently to support the health and well-being of our students. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to food safety standards, and experience in high-volume food production. Responsibilities Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently to prepare meals for preschool children Follow established recipes and meal plans to ensure consistency and nutritional standards are met Manage food safety protocols, including proper sanitizing procedures and maintaining a clean work environment Prepare food in high-volume settings, ensuring timely delivery of meals during busy periods Assist with food production tasks, including portioning, plating, and packaging meals Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to ensure continuous meal preparation Adhere to all health and safety regulations related to food handling and sanitation Experience Proven experience in food preparation within a high-volume environment, preferably in a childcare or educational setting Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures Ability to operate commercial kitchen equipment effectively Strong attention to detail and organizational skills in a fast-paced setting Prior experience working with children's dietary needs is a plus but not required

Pay:

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
