Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep and Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in food preparation, ensuring that all ingredients are ready for cooking and that the kitchen operates smoothly. This position requires a strong understanding of food safety practices and a passion for the food industry. As a Prep and Line Cook, you will assist in meal preparation, maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, and support the culinary staff in delivering high-quality dishes. Duties Prepare ingredients for meals according to recipes and specifications. Assist in the cooking process by preparing sauces, soups, and other components. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items. Follow all food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure the highest standards of hygiene. Collaborate with chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to management. Participate in cleaning duties at the end of shifts to maintain a safe working environment. Skills Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Experience in the food industry or as a dietary aide is preferred. Proficient in food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment usage. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration. Familiarity with meal preparation processes Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
