Job Overview C Salt is on the lookout for a motivated and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you'll be helping to prepare ingredients, assemble dishes, and ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. If you love working in a lively food environment and take pride in food safety and quality, this position is perfect for you! Flex hours ranging from 25-40. Seasonal or possibly perm. We close at 6pm so no late nights! Parking provided. Responsibilities Assist in food preparation by chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients using proper knife skills and slicing techniques. Operate kitchen equipment safely, including ovens, mixers, and food processors, while maintaining cleanliness. Maintain a clean work station by regularly cleaning utensils, surfaces, and equipment according to safety standards. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks and ensure timely meal preparation. Experience Prior experience in food industry roles such as dietary aide, dietary department worker, or restaurant prep cook is highly desirable. Familiarity with food safety management practices and safety standards in production environments. Knowledge of food handling procedures and proper sanitation practices. Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Strong knife skills including slicing techniques are preferred. Previous catering or serving experience is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!

Pay:

$20.00 - $23.00 per hour
