Job Description

Cook Kids Learning Factory is seeking a dependable and organized Cook to prepare meals and snacks for children in our childcare center.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve daily meals and snacks according to established menus and schedules
Follow proper portion sizes, food safety, and sanitation requirements
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen
Properly store, label, and rotate food
Monitor food and kitchen supplies and communicate needs to management
Follow procedures for food allergies and dietary restrictions
Maintain required food-service and kitchen records
Follow all childcare licensing and food-service requirements

Qualifications:

Previous cooking or food-service experience required
Dependable, punctual, organized, and able to work independently
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
Must have current ServSafe or TummySafe certification OR be able to obtain certification within 3 months of hire
Must be able to pass all required childcare background checks
