Roost Fried Chicken is looking for a part/full-time prep cook to join our team at the commissary kitchen! This is an important position at Roost. Great food starts with great prep, and we need someone who takes pride in doing things correctly, consistently, and on time. What You'll Do Prepare ingredients according to Roost recipes and prep standards Portion, weigh, label, and date food accurately Prepare sauces, sides, dredges, and other menu components Follow prep lists and par levels Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary prep area Follow proper food-safety and temperature procedures Rotate product using FIFO and help minimize waste Keep walk-in, coolers, and prep areas organized Communicate with the kitchen team about prep needs and low inventory Work efficiently while maintaining quality and consistency Help with general kitchen duties and support the team during busy periods We're Looking For Someone Who Shows up on time and is dependable Takes pride in clean, organized work Can follow recipes and instructions consistently Works with a sense of urgency without sacrificing quality Pays attention to details Understands that food safety is non-negotiable Can work independently without needing to be constantly directed Is willing to learn and take feedback Is a team player who wants the people around them to succeed Previous restaurant or prep-cook experience is preferred, but we're willing to train the right person.
