Responsibilities Prepare ingredients by chopping, slicing, dicing, and portioning according to recipes and safety standards Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling salads, garnishes, and side dishes Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, mixers, and cooking appliances Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with sanitation regulations Support the culinary team in meal assembly and portioning to ensure timely service Follow recipe instructions meticulously to ensure consistency and quality of dishes Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate prep activities and meet service demands Qualifications Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable Strong knowledge of food handling procedures and safety standards in production environments Experience with menu planning, food preparation, and cooking techniques Skilled in operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Familiarity with knife skills, slicing techniques, and food industry best practices Ability to follow recipes accurately and adhere to food safety regulations Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork within a busy kitchen setting Prior restaurant or catering experience is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for culinary work is essential Embark on a rewarding culinary journey where your skills make a real difference!
