The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry and possess a passion for culinary excellence. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing delicious and visually appealing dishes while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.

Weekends/ Evenings Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and resident dietary needs (including texture modifications and therapeutic diets).
• Ensure the quality of food meets the highest standards before serving
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
• Monitor food stock levels and place orders as needed
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations
• Follow proper food handling procedures and adhere to food safety regulations
• Portion and plate food attractively according to diet orders.
• Maintain a positive and respectful attitude when interacting with residents, families, and team members

Skills:

• Proven experience working in a kitchen setting
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology
• Familiarity with menu planning and execution
• Strong understanding of food safety practices
• Fast-paced kitchen environment within a healthcare facility
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Previous experience in fine dining or catering is a plus
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Work in hot, humid, or noisy environments (e.
