We are seeking a cook for a client located in Brooklyn, NY. This position is temporary with hours Monday - Friday with a 6am start time.

Requirements:

Oversee preparation and cooking daily meals Preparing the menu beforehand Serve meals to residents Ordering fresh ingredients and scheduling food service Cater agency events, including holidays and private functions. Attend meetings, trainings, and case conferences. Assist with daily oversight of the center and respond to emergencies. Complete and submit reports on time.

Qualifications:

Food Protection Certificate as issued by the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, or ServSafe. Proven experience as a cook and in kitchen management. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Experience preparing meals for 500+ and meeting nutrition guidelines. Proficient in MS Office, POS, and restaurant management software. CPR, AED, and First Aid certified (or willing to obtain). Ability to lift heavy items, stand long hours, and work flexible schedules. Skilled at supervising and training staff.
