Summary As an Experienced Cook, you will be essential in delivering high-quality meals and ensuring a smooth kitchen operation. Reporting to the Head Chef, you will utilize your core skills in food preparation, cooking, and food handling to create delicious dishes that meet our restaurant's standards. Your premium experience in menu planning and fine dining will enhance our culinary offerings. Additionally, your familiarity with POS systems and cash handling will support efficient service. Join our team to showcase your culinary talents in a vibrant and fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards. Ensure food safety and hygiene practices are followed in all food handling and preparation. Assist in menu planning and special dietary needs as required. Manage kitchen inventory and assist with ordering supplies. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations and excellent food service. Handle cash transactions and operate POS systems as needed. Qualifications Proven experience as an experienced cook with strong food preparation and cooking skills Proficient in poaching, braising, and other core cooking techniques; capable of high-volume food production Familiar with food safety, sanitation procedures, kitchen health and safety standards, and proper food handling Experience operating kitchen equipment and maintaining accurate recipe adherence Background in dietary department settings; menu planning and fine dining experience preferred Prior catering or food service experience considered an asset Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and ability to deliver quality service in a fast-paced environment
