Job Description
- Overview
- We are seeking a skilled and passionate Childcare Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. This role is essential in creating meals that meet CACFP standards. This position is a part-time position Monday-Friday 6:30AM-12:30PM.
- Duties
- -Prepare and cook breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack daily.
- Adhere to CACFP standards and approved menu plans.
- Plan menus, ensuring all dietary needs are met.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Requirements
- Previous experience as a Child Care Center Cook or in a similar role within the restaurant or food service industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Familiarity with CACFP menu planning and dietary considerations is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining individual accountability.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly regarding food preparation and safety standards.
