Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, stoves, ovens, and food processors Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to strict food safety and sanitation standards Assist with food prep tasks such as slicing, dicing, portioning, and plating to ensure timely service Follow food handling procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure freshness Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and meet service deadlines Support menu planning efforts by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation techniques Requirements Prior experience in food service, restaurant kitchens, or dietary departments is highly desirable Knowledge of food safety management practices and safety standards in production environments Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and ingredient preparation Ability to follow recipes accurately and adhere to meal preparation guidelines Experience operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Excellent communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with kitchen team members & servers Demonstrated commitment to cleanliness, food handling protocols, and safety standards in the food industry Ability to withstand long hours of standing, prioritize tasks/manage time to meet service demands, lift heavy kitchen objects, and maintain a smooth workflow Min 2yrs Culinary experience or training that showcases a passion for cooking and food presentation Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the operation's schedule.
Pay:
$14.00 - $16.00 per hour
