Duties Operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently to prepare ingredients and cook dishes. Assist in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, marinating, and assembling ingredients according to recipes or instructions. Cook meals according to established recipes and quality standards, ensuring consistency and presentation. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate food orders and maintain workflow. Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment through regular cleaning routines. Manage food safety practices by adhering to hygiene standards, proper storage procedures, and sanitation protocols. Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying supervisors of supply needs. Experience Previous experience working as a cook or in a similar food preparation role is preferred. Familiarity with operating commercial kitchen equipment is essential. Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper sanitation procedures is required. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members are important for success in this role.
