Job Summary:

We are seeking 2 skilled and dedicated Prep Cook/food preparer to join our culinary team. As a Prep Cook, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and production of food items in our mobile unit. Your attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment will contribute to the success of our food service operations.

Duties:

• Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, such as chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and measuring ingredients
• Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in food preparation
• Prepare food items according to established standards and recipes
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, including proper storage and labeling of ingredients
• Assist with menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes or improvements to existing recipes
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food production
• Adhere to all food handling and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
• Assist with catering events as needed

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in a professional kitchen or culinary environment
• Knowledge of basic kitchen equipment and knife skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices within the food industry
