We are looking for a meticulous and enthusiastic Auto Body Shop Detail Technician to join our team and help maintain our high standards of vehicle care and presentation.
Position Overview:
The Auto Body Shop Detail Technician is responsible for cleaning and detailing vehicles post-repair, ensuring they are restored to their best possible condition before returning to the customer. This role requires keen attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a passion for vehicle aesthetics. The ideal candidate will have experience in automotive detailing and a commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Vehicle Cleaning:
Thoroughly clean and detail the exterior and interior of vehicles, including washing, waxing, vacuuming, and polishing.
Paint Care:
Perform paint correction tasks such as buffing, polishing, and applying protective coatings.
Interior Care:
Clean and condition interior surfaces, including upholstery, carpets, dashboards, and trim.
Inspection:
Conduct a final inspection to ensure all detailing work meets company standards and customer expectations.
Equipment Maintenance:
Maintain and clean detailing equipment and supplies, ensuring they are in good working condition.
Quality Control:
Identify and address any imperfections or areas requiring additional attention.
Customer Interaction:
Occasionally interact with customers to explain detailing services and address any specific requests or concerns.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of detailing work performed and any additional services provided.
Safety Compliance:
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in automotive detailing preferred. Knowledge of various detailing products, tools, and techniques. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work efficiently and manage time effectively. Excellent communication skills. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and reaching. Comfortable working in various weather conditions and environments.
