Job Description

John Jones Ford of Salem is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Automotive Detailer to join our team. The Detailer is responsible for cleaning and preparing new, used, and customer vehicles to ensure they meet dealership standards for appearance and presentation. Responsibilities Wash, dry, and clean vehicle exteriors. Vacuum and thoroughly clean vehicle interiors. Clean windows, mirrors, dashboards, consoles, and other interior surfaces. Shampoo carpets, floor mats, and upholstery as needed. Apply wax, polish, tire dressing, and other detailing products. Prepare new and used vehicles for the sales lot and customer delivery. Detail customer vehicles as assigned by the Service Department. Remove stickers, protective coverings, and other materials from vehicles when necessary. Inspect completed vehicles to ensure dealership cleanliness and appearance standards are met. Maintain detailing equipment, supplies, and work areas in a clean and organized condition. Notify management of any vehicle damage or concerns discovered during the detailing process. Move and park vehicles safely around the dealership lot as required. Follow all dealership safety procedures and company policies. Assist with other dealership duties as needed. Qualifications Previous automotive detailing experience preferred, but not required. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Dependable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude. Ability to work independently and manage multiple vehicles or assignments. Ability to work in varying weather and temperature conditions. Ability to stand, bend, kneel, reach, and perform physical work throughout the shift. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed. Valid driver's license and ability to meet dealership insurance requirements required for positions involving vehicle operation.
