Job Description

Fleet Detailer Redmond, OR $18-$22/hour depending on experience Position Summary The Fleet Detailer is responsible for preparing tractors and trailers for service by ensuring they are clean, properly equipped, and ready for issuance. This role performs interior and exterior detailing, removes and applies vehicle decals, completes basic preventive maintenance inspections, and equips vehicles with required safety and operational equipment. The Fleet Detailer plays an important role in maintaining the company's fleet appearance, functionality, and readiness. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Thoroughly clean and detail the interior and exterior of tractors and trailers. Vacuum, steam clean, shampoo, and sanitize vehicle interiors using appropriate cleaning equipment. Wash, polish, and maintain the exterior appearance of tractors and trailers. Remove and install vehicle decals as needed. Perform basic preventive maintenance (PM) inspections on tractors and trailers in the inspection lane. Install and verify required equipment on tractors and trailers before they are issued. Operate forklifts and commercial load scales in a safe and efficient manner. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Report vehicle damage, maintenance concerns, or safety issues to management. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Strong attention to detail. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record (if required to operate company vehicles). Preferred One (1) year of vehicle detailing experience. Experience operating forklifts. Bilingual in English and Spanish. Physical Requirements Frequently stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday. Frequently bend, kneel, squat, crouch, reach, climb, and work in confined spaces while detailing vehicle interiors and exteriors. Regularly use hands and arms to operate cleaning equipment, hand tools, and detailing supplies. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Ability to enter and exit tractor cabs, trailers, and other fleet equipment repeatedly throughout the day. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, humidity, rain, and other environmental conditions.
