Ultra Auto Spa | Magnolia, TX Ultra Auto Spa is hiring an experienced Automotive Detail Specialist to join our growing team in Magnolia, TX. We specialize in high-quality vehicle appearance and protection services, and we're looking for someone who understands that professional detailing is about much more than making a vehicle look clean. The right person will care about the finished product, pay attention to the small things, work efficiently, and take pride in delivering results customers can see and appreciate. This is a hands-on position for someone who already has professional detailing experience and wants the opportunity to continue developing their skills in a quality-focused shop. What You'll Do Your day-to-day responsibilities will include preparing, correcting, protecting, and maintaining customer vehicles. Depending on your experience and skill level, you may perform: Complete interior and exterior vehicle details Thorough hand washing and vehicle decontamination Clay bar and chemical decontamination procedures Paint polishing, enhancement, and correction Paint defect identification and removal Ceramic coating preparation and installation Interior cleaning, steaming, extraction, and conditioning Wheel, tire, wheel-well, and engine-bay cleaning Glass, trim, jamb, and other finishing services Final inspections and touch-ups before vehicle delivery Proper preparation of vehicles for specialty services Safe movement and positioning of customer vehicles You'll be expected to understand the condition of a vehicle before beginning work and recognize when a particular surface requires additional care, correction, or protection. Customer Interaction At Ultra Auto Spa, the customer experience matters just as much as the work performed on the vehicle. You may interact with customers throughout the process, so professionalism and communication are important.

You should be comfortable:

Answering basic questions about our services Explaining what was performed on a customer's vehicle Discussing recommended maintenance Pointing out areas that may benefit from additional services Setting realistic expectations regarding results Addressing customer concerns respectfully Communicating clearly with both customers and coworkers Helping create an experience that encourages customers to return We believe recommendations should be based on the customer's actual needs. This is not a high-pressure sales position. We want technicians who can recognize opportunities and explain the value of a service without being pushy. Additional Service Knowledge Experience or familiarity with the following is a plus: Ceramic coatings Paint correction Paint enhancement Paint protection film (PPF) Automotive window tint Windshield protection Wet sanding Steam cleaning Hot water extraction Specialty and high-end vehicle care The ability to recognize when a customer could benefit from one of these services is valuable. Training may be available for additional services depending on experience and performance. Shop Standards & Daily Responsibilities A professional technician is responsible for more than the vehicle in their bay. You will also be expected to: Keep your workspace clean and organized Maintain detailing tools and equipment properly Use chemicals and equipment safely Follow established procedures Complete work within expected timeframes Maintain consistent quality throughout the day Help maintain the overall appearance of the shop Work cooperatively with other team members Assist coworkers when needed Follow vehicle handling and safety procedures Participate in training and skill development Take responsibility for the quality of completed work What We're Looking For Required Experience Candidates should have: Professional automotive detailing experience Hands-on experience with paint polishing or correction A strong eye for detail Reliable attendance and a dependable work ethic The ability to work efficiently without cutting corners A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record The ability to safely operate automotive detailing equipment The ability to work independently as well as with a team Strong communication skills Reliable transportation The physical ability to stand, bend, kneel, reach, and lift equipment during a workday Preferred Experience Additional experience with any of the following is highly desirable: Ceramic coating installation Advanced paint correction PPF installation Window tint installation Wet sanding and defect removal Interior extraction and steam cleaning Luxury, exotic, or specialty vehicles The Right Fit We're looking for someone who takes their work seriously and doesn't need to be reminded to care about the details.
