Allegretto Vineyard Resort is seeking a dependable and hardworking Steward / Dishwasher to join our Food & Beverage team. We are a luxury resort with an upscale restaurant operation and an AAA Four Diamond distinction. As a Steward/Dishwasher, you will play an important role in supporting our culinary team and ensuring our kitchen and restaurant operations run smoothly and efficiently. What You'll Do Operate commercial dishwashing machines and ensure proper cleaning and sanitation of dishes, glassware, silverware, cookware, and kitchen equipment. Maintain a clean, organized, sanitary, and safe kitchen and dish area. Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, floors, walls, windows, storage areas, and other assigned areas. Polish, organize, and properly store china, glassware, silverware, and serving equipment. Assist cooks and preparation staff with kitchen support and cleaning needs. Transfer equipment and supplies from storage areas to workstations. Assist with receiving deliveries, stocking supplies, and taking inventory. Properly remove and dispose of trash and waste. Replenish firewood for designated wood-burning kitchen equipment. Assist with kitchen cleaning projects as directed by the Sous Chef or other culinary leadership. Help train new Stewards/Dishwashers when assigned. Follow all Food Safety, OSHA, Health Department, MSDS/SDS, state, and local regulations. Maintain a sense of urgency and work effectively under pressure during busy restaurant service. Support the culinary team in maintaining the high standards expected of an AAA Four Diamond luxury resort and restaurant. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. What We're Looking For Minimum 6 months of related experience or equivalent experience preferred. Food Handler's Certification required. Previous experience in a hotel, resort, upscale restaurant, or luxury hospitality environment preferred. Knowledge of commercial dishwashing machines and kitchen equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness. Ability to follow directions and work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude. Ability to work extended periods while maintaining quality and productivity. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Excellent internal and guest-service attitude. Ability to maintain professionalism in a high-end hospitality environment. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a luxury resort or upscale restaurant. Spanish-speaking ability is a plus. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Experience working in a high-volume professional kitchen. Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen maintenance procedures.
