Duties Thoroughly wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment following proper sanitation procedures Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients under supervision Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas to meet sanitation standards Support bussing duties by clearing tables and ensuring dining areas are tidy and ready for guests Handle manual lifting of heavy pots, boxes of supplies, and dishware safely and efficiently Operate kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, sinks, and food prep tools in accordance with safety guidelines Follow food safety management protocols to prevent contamination and ensure proper food handling practices Skills Experience in food preparation and handling within a restaurant or catering setting Knowledge of sanitation, cleaning procedures, and food safety standards including sanitizing procedures Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks with efficiency Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment such as dishwashers and prep tools Strong understanding of kitchen health and safety standards to maintain a safe working environment Excellent knife skills for basic food prep tasks when needed Prior experience in food service or banquet/catering environments is a plus but not required; eagerness to learn is essential This energetic role invites proactive individuals who thrive in fast-paced settings and are committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
