Responsibilities Operate dishwashing machines and manual cleaning stations to thoroughly clean dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment. Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to ensure all items are hygienically prepared for use in food preparation and service. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic ingredient handling and setup. Support bussing duties by clearing tables, removing used dishes, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas. Handle manual lifting of heavy pots, trays, and boxes safely while adhering to proper ergonomic techniques. Maintain sanitation standards by regularly cleaning workstations, sinks, floors, and storage areas in compliance with health regulations. Operate kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, sinks, and other small appliances safely and efficiently. Support food safety management practices by adhering to proper food handling protocols and hygiene standards. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow during busy service times. Assist with waste disposal and recycling procedures to promote a clean environment. Experience Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn! Familiarity with food safety sanitizing procedures and sanitation standards is advantageous. Experience in dishwashing or kitchen sanitation roles demonstrates readiness for this position. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently is essential for handling bulky items or supplies. Knowledge of basic kitchen operations or catering experience can be beneficial for understanding workflow dynamics. Prior exposure to banquet or catering environments helps in managing high-volume cleaning tasks during large events.
