In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchenware, utensils and equipment to ensure a safe and efficient food service environment. Responsibilities Thoroughly wash dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using proper dishwashing techniques and sanitizing procedures. Ensure all items are cleaned efficiently and returned promptly for use in food preparation and service. Maintain high standards of cleanliness by regularly sanitizing work surfaces, sinks, and dishwashing areas according to food safety regulations. Support bussing duties by clearing tables, removing trash, and ensuring dining areas are tidy for guests. Operate kitchen equipment safely, including dishwashers, sinks, and other cleaning tools while adhering to health and safety standards. Follow all sanitation protocols related to food handling and kitchen health regulations to promote a safe environment for staff and guests. Skills Strong understanding of food safety management and sanitation procedures. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of dish racks, pots, pans, and cleaning supplies. Experience with operating commercial dishwashing machines and other kitchen equipment. Knowledge of kitchen health and safety standards essential for maintaining a safe work environment. Basic food preparation skills with an understanding of food handling practices. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in cleaning routines.
