Job Summary We are looking for a reliable and motivated Dishwasher/Food Prep to join our busy kitchen team. Duties Operate dishwashing equipment to thoroughly clean all kitchenware, utensils, and equipment following food safety sanitizing procedures. Assist in basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients for various dishes. Support the team by bussing tables, clearing dishes, and maintaining cleanliness in dining and kitchen areas. Handle food safely by following proper food handling protocols and sanitation standards to prevent contamination. Perform heavy lifting when necessary to move supplies, ingredients, or equipment safely and efficiently. Maintain kitchen health and safety standards by adhering to sanitation guidelines and reporting any hazards or maintenance needs. Support kitchen staff during busy periods by organizing supplies, restocking stations, and assisting with general cleaning duties. Skills Experience in food service or hospitality environments is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is key. Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitation procedures. Ability to operate basic kitchen equipment such as dishwashers and food prep tools safely. Strong manual handling skills for lifting heavy items and moving supplies efficiently. Good understanding of kitchen health and safety standards to ensure a safe working environment. Basic knife skills for food prep tasks like chopping or slicing ingredients. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting colleagues during high-volume service times.
