Responsibilities Operate commercial dishwashing equipment efficiently to clean dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools Follow strict food safety sanitizing procedures to ensure all items meet health standards Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, supporting chefs and kitchen staff during busy service times Buse tables and clear dishes from dining areas promptly to maintain a clean environment Handle manual tasks such as loading and unloading dish racks and organizing supplies Maintain kitchen sanitation by regularly cleaning workstations, sinks, and surrounding areas Adhere to all kitchen health and safety standards, including proper handling of food and equipment Support with heavy lifting of supplies or equipment when required, following proper manual handling techniques Operate basic kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while observing all safety protocols Experience Prior food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is valued highly Familiarity with food safety management practices and sanitation procedures is advantageous Experience with dishwashing or kitchen cleaning tasks demonstrates readiness for this role Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual handling tasks comfortably Knowledge of kitchen health and safety standards ensures compliance with all regulations Previous banquet or catering experience can be beneficial but is not mandatory Strong attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards This role offers an exciting opportunity to be an essential part of a lively culinary environment.
