On-Call Position Summary :

A La Carte Premier Servers is seeking dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Dishwashers to support our event and hospitality operations. The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining clean, sanitized, and organized dishware, glassware, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment throughout the event. This position plays an important role in keeping the kitchen and service operation running efficiently. The ideal candidate is a strong team player who works quickly, follows instructions, maintains a clean work area, and takes pride in supporting the overall guest experience.

Essential Responsibilities :

Wash, rinse, sanitize, and properly store dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment. Operate commercial and industrial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently. Sort dirty dishes and separate items according to proper washing procedures. Load and unload the dishwasher and racks properly. Hand-wash items that cannot be placed in the machine. Maintain clean and organized dishwashing and kitchen areas. Keep floors and work areas free of water, food debris, and other hazards. Remove trash and recycling as directed. Restock clean dishes, glassware, utensils, and other service items as needed. Assist kitchen and service staff when appropriate. Follow all food-safety, sanitation, and workplace-safety procedures. Report broken equipment, damaged dishes, spills, or safety concerns to the supervisor. Work efficiently during high-volume events and busy service periods. Follow directions from the Event Manager, Maitre d', Chef, or designated supervisor. Complete all assigned responsibilities before leaving the event.

Qualifications :

Previous dishwasher, kitchen, restaurant, banquet, or hospitality experience preferred but not always required. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding work. Ability to lift and carry items safely. Dependable and punctual. Strong work ethic and positive attitude. Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team. Must maintain professional conduct at all times.

Professional Standards :

A La Carte associates are expected to: Arrive

• 15 minutes early
• and be ready to work at the scheduled start time.

Wear appropriate, clean, professional work attire. Maintain good personal hygiene and grooming. Remain focused and productive throughout the assignment. Respect the venue, equipment, coworkers, clients, and guests. Follow the chain of command and take direction from the designated supervisor. No cell-phone use while actively working unless authorized by management. No profanity, vaping, smoking, or inappropriate behavior while on assignment. Do not leave the assigned work area without notifying the supervisor.

Physical Requirements :

This position may require: Standing and walking for extended periods. Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying. Handling wet and heavy dishware and kitchen equipment. Working around hot water, steam, cleaning products, and commercial kitchen equipment. Ability to lift and carry approximately 30-50 pounds as required by the assignment.
