Responsibilities Efficiently wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment following proper dishwashing procedures. Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients under supervision. Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas by sanitizing surfaces, sinks, and food prep stations in accordance with food safety sanitizing procedures. Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly, including dishwashers, sinks, and food prep tools. Follow all sanitation standards and health regulations to uphold kitchen hygiene and safety protocols. Handle manual tasks such as lifting heavy pots or boxes of supplies while maintaining proper ergonomic practices. Requirements Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including lifting heavy items safely. Basic knife skills for assisting with food prep tasks. Strong attention to detail in cleaning and maintaining a hygienic work environment. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while adhering to kitchen health and safety standards. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting the overall restaurant operation.
